- Melissa has long, thick and silky hair that sways down her back; it is almost always shiny and glossed to her desired perfection. She often runs her fingers though her hair, flipping it back and forth making a part never visible. She has a bright smile of white teeth with slightly thin and lightly pinked lips. She is a fairly short girl with a slender figure. She often walks quickly and she has very dark topaz colored eyes with dark long dark lashes to frame them. Her skin is a pale color and she almost always has some color nail polish on her fingernails. She doesn't like to look like your average nomad. She even prides herself in looking as 'normal' as she possibly can, eager to fit in with crowds, (not that she finds herself in crowds often). She likes to dress like your average teenage girl, keeping up with styles, and mixing up her own things. She is a fan of layering.-

Strengths
+ Charm; Melissa has always held about her a comfortable aura. She usually gets her way, and as a human she was always very charismatic.
+ Stable; Melissa is Ok with being on her own, though she does miss all the attention she used to have. She misses companion ship, and while she goes on though her existence, now more than ever she was beginning to desire a mate, or some company at least.
+ Flirting; Mel was always smooth with the guys. She was one of this girls at school guys tripped over. She was used to that kind of thing, and flirting for her was like second nature. A wink here, and light touch there; she was... is good at what she does.
+ Smooth Liar; Lying is a big part of being a vampire. She used to lure out the creeps and gains their trust so that she could feed on them... but she often takes breaks from that lifestyle. Not to mention in a tight squeeze it really pays off to be a smooth lier.
Weaknesses
- Used to Being Popular: She was so used to always being in the spotlight, having to tone down her life in adjustment to what she had become was hard for her.
- Feeling Alone: She doesn't like to feel completely isolated, and unfortunately with this life, it's a common feeling. She hates it.
- Hates Work: Mel has never been a fan of work, in school, and now out of it-- now that she has to make a real living for herself.
- Being in Water/Water in General: because when she was still a frail human, she was close to death before she even had the chance to live, really. She almost drowned.
Special Talent
Telekinesis - The power to move something by thinking about it without the application of physical force. Sometimes using either your mind, eyes, or with the wave of a hand.
- Melissa was used to being apart of the 'in' crowd. She was used to going to parties, having lots of friends, getting invited places and this, this new existence was tough adjusting. The thirst. It was torture. But she lived with it, worked through it. She is very level-headed now, and when she hunts, she aims for those who intend to hurt others. Murderers, Rapists. She kills them before they can kill innocents. It's the only way she feels like what she's doing rights it.
And yet, sometimes even the weight of those deaths are too much and she forces herself to hunt only animals... but she can never keep herself on that diet for too long, it's too hard for her and she struggles constantly trying to be as good as she can be.
Despite her fear of reaming alone for as long as she walks the earth, she finds that she honestly makes a pretty good vampire. The idea of remaining young and nearly indestructible, now thats a plus. She has the attributes, her natural looks on top of her vampiric beauty. She can lie with no problem, has the charm and flirtatious ability of a seductress, and the stability to support herself. –
Character History ´ Those tales you cannot find on books
Family
Mother - Heather Bracilla Father - Ryan Bracilla Siblings - None
-Melissa has few important details to recall of her past. She finds her past to be quite generic, honestly. She was born in a small town in Britain, second to her brother, and her and her family have lived in the same house that they have always lived in.
Her younger brother, Jeremy, always gave her the space she desired, but they tended to do a lot of things together and they usually ended up in the same group as they had similar personalities. Melissa was always out of the house, constantly on the go and loving beings such a floater.
Thinking back she was able to remember one thing that always seemed memorable. Something that no matter how hard she tried, the images flashed in her mind like it was still happening. When she was little, she found herself by and old pond near her house.
She used to go there often over the weekend. She would sit on the dock, out by the calm waters and try to stare into it, try to stare right through it. She’d often draw it too. Sketching was one of her favorite things to do. It was on this day though, that something lurking in the waters caught her eye. She ventured a bit closer, but by a misfortune, she had lost her footing and fallen into the murky water.
The water splashed around her, and she could feel something bit her hand. She yelled out in pain and fright as she floundered around. If she’d stayed calm she could have easily pulled herself up on the dock, but in her freak out, her head slammed back against the wooden dock. Then things got a bit fuzzy around the edges and she couldn’t remember if she continued to flounder around, or if she started to sink.
The next thing she realized, she was laying on the dock, feeling sick and like a drowned cat. Damon, the neighbor she’d always had feelings for, had saved her. She was moments form death and her brother had saved her from drowning. If it wasn't for him, she would be long gone; among the dead and resting at the bottom of that dark water. The thought always made her shiver. Ever since then she remains incapable of being in water, even just being around water made her quake with the horror of the memory.
When she was walking home one night, she came across a man, his head down and his hands in his pockets. Lyss was intrigued. It was right around her 18th birthday, and she can still remember this night as well. It was just another horror in her life.
He looked at her, the man and his red eyes made her stop walking. His voice was smooth and cool and he asked her if she was lost. She said no, but then he said she would be. She didn’t remember screaming. She didn’t remember there being time to scream. On second he was 10 feet away, and then he was there, holding here in a stone grasp.
There was pain, a horrible pain. But then there was another voice… and another. She thought she recognized on of them as Damon, but she couldn’t find her voice to yell at him to run away, to save himself and get help. She just fainted into the blackness.
When she woke up, she was alone. Completely alone, and she had no idea of what happened. Her clothes were dirty, torn and bloody and she was someplace off in the woods that she’d never recognized.
Lyss checked on her family, they were mourning her. Missing her. She even checked on Damon, but his family was mourning too. Lyssa and Damon, both disappeared that night. Disappeared and were never heard of again. Presumed dead.
She adjusted to her life, as the memories of her murder resurfaced. She went back and killed the vampires that got her; the vampires that ended her human life. She didn’t understand why they let her turn; she didn’t give them time to explain. She wanted revenge for herself, and for Damon. She’d never get the chance to finish high school, or to explore any kind of relationship with Damon. Now, she was there, stuck, and left to start a new life. Completely from scratch. –
Role-play Sample ´ It’s time to prove your value
-The sky was blue, well, not just blue but a deep blue; the color of royal blue. And the sky held not a single cloud in sight, not a one. The sun was low, and around it’s setting point other colors blazed: Pinks, and orange, and purples. It was something that Melissa wished she could have grabbed and held onto forever. She felt like she’d never forget it. This moment was so perfect, as she sat by her window and looked up where stars started to appear.
Melissa stepped off her window seat, and grabbed her sweater. She was already running late, but the beauty of the coming night capture and held her longer than she’d intended. She looked at her reflection in the long mirror that hung on her door. Her hair was sleek, and fell like pins down her back and with every touch or flip, it moved like silk. It was perfect. Her makeup was dark: eyeliner, eye shadow, and mascara enhanced the beauty of her deep green eyes. She didn’t need foundation; her skin practically glowed with warmth.
She was wearing some light faded jeans, a white tank top underneath a red tank top, and her old black leather jacket. It was a casual outfit, but it was perfect for the party that she was attending. She grabbed her purse and headed out the door. Jeremy was there, standing in the hall but he didn’t really pay her much attention as he was wrapped up in whatever video game was in the PSP that he held clenched in his hands. She rolled her eyes. Sometimes she didn’t understand why he spent his Friday nights is such monotonous ways, but it wasn’t her issue.
The house party was one a block or two away, so she decided to walk it, which was the reason she wore some old converse sneakers. The place was crawling with kids and the music was loud. She could see that this was perfect house for this kind of thing as the closest neighbors were a good distance away. Mel spotted some friends and waved at them, excited for the night. She’d even spotted Damon, her neighbor and he smiled big at her. They’d flirted a lot, well, she flirted a lot, and maybe tonight she’d finally get the chance to make a move and really talk to him. Maybe this night would be the best way to start the school year.
Too bad Melissa didn’t know how wrong she was going to be. How before the night would end, she’d be attacked, dragged off and nearly killed. How by the end of this night she would start loosing her humanity. How this was the last night of her human life and the start of a completely new existence. Before she left her house that night, she was only right about one thing: this night would be one she would never forget.-
