The sun was just coming out. Jasper had been up all night, of course, just staring down Alice with a wicked smile. Alice was surely trying to figure out what he was up to by trying to see his future. Lucky for him, he knew exactly how to work past that and make her see what he wanted, which was nothing much really. She wanted to go get Edward and cheat by reading his mind, but Jasper insisted that was against the rules. Jasper smiled at her with a smug grin on his lips. "You've been staring at me like that for the past few hours ma'am." He said with a hint of laughter in his voice. Jasper found her annoyed and "angry" look to be cute for a pixie like girl as she was. It was adorable on her and he loved it.
The sun barely hit over the horizon and keeping his thoughts on his decisions scrambled, kept Alice from seeing what he was doing. He stood to his feet and held out his hand to Alice. "Will you accompany me miss?" He spoke s a true southern gentleman would. His smile was growing, as he knew Alice hated when Jasper hid his future from her, cause otherwise, she'd know exactly where he was taking her and he couldn't surprise her ever. What fun was an eternity with your true love, if you couldn't surprise her every now and again?
He was sure she'd take his hand, "mad" or not she would never refuse Jasper of her hand. He softly entwined her hand in his and lead her out of the house, out their window and leapt from the high tree branch that went into the house and into their room. Once they hit the floor he ran fast, making sure Alice could keep pace, her hand still locked with his. He decided to have a little fun, he decided to go to La Push, then changed to Forks high, then to the lake, then to Port Angleles, then back to La Push. Alice must have been going crazy with confusion.
It would have been a long drive even though they sped, since the road didn't go out as far as he was taking her, and their speed was actually the faster way and easiest out of their traveling options. Jasper still held her hand tightly, but gently as he lead her, they ran for miles and miles, clearing them in seconds not minutes. In no time they were at a very large tree. The smell of the ocean was everywhere. Jasper slowly let go of her hand and looked up the tree."We're here, race you!" He said then suggested a race.

Please? Just tell me. If you do, I promise I won’t tell him you told me’ Alice pleaded in her mind as she looked at Jasper. She was concentrating hard on what Jasper was planning while she talked to Edward in her mind. She had turned from threatening Edward to just asking nicely. She knew her thoughts were still in range for Edward to hear her, but maybe he was tuning her out or just doesn’t want to give in. He was probably having a laugh right now, listening to Alice beg for him to tell her what Jasper was keeping from her. She kept trying to see what it was, but he was just too good to avoid her that Alice couldn’t make out the visions that she saw. Everything was blurry. ‘Well, of course I wouldn’t tell Jazz. But of course he would know that it was Edward who spilled’ Alice smiled despite herself. ‘Drat. You heard that didn’t you? Well – um, yeah, that was a joke, Ed. Come on, Please?' It was her last attempt to persuade him. Maybe she should just be a good sport and try not to spoil the fun. She liked surprises and she would love whatever kind of surprise Jasper had for her but she absolutely liked it better if she was able to figure out what the surprise was before it was revealed. She always took everything as a challenge.
“That’s because for the past few hours, I’ve been trying to figure out what you’re up to, but congratulations, I can’t see anything.” She told Jasper. She didn’t like not seeing. Not one bit. But she was struggling to keep a straight face because she can’t stand being annoyed at Jasper. She still kept focused on his future, not giving up. If Edward wasn’t going to help her, she was going to find this all out by herself. She thought she saw a clearer image when Jasper looked at the sun, but it was soon gone before she could even observe what it was. She couldn’t resist the smile that escaped from her lips when he asked her to accompany him. She took his hand without saying a word and followed him out. She couldn’t help but feel excited about all of it.
Alice was still concentrating and finally, she saw them headed to la Push. She smiled even wider because she had figured out where they were going, though she didn’t know what they were going to do there, or why they were headed for the wolves’ territory. Her smile faded when the vision went out of focus. The image became hazy before it changed into a different picture. Forks high was deserted except for the two of them. She had barely seen what they were doing when the image changed yet again. This time they were at the lake but after a few seconds they were in Port Angeles. Alice realized Jasper was trying to confuse her. She wanted to promise him she’d stay out of the visions if he promised to stop changing his decisions but she figured she would just pretend that she wasn’t paying attention to the visions anymore.
She let Jasper lead her through the forest and after a while, she was beginning to smell the ocean. Were they headed to the beach or were they just taking a detour? “Are we really here, or are you just trying to mislead me?” she teased. “A race? You’re on! Where to?” She giggled. She heard birds chirp above them while she took in the surroundings. Now, she was getting excited.

Jasper smiled at Alice warmly. "Yes ma'am." He answered he question about if they were there. "Hmm to the top of this tree." He said with a wicked smile. Jasper fancied himself second fastest next to Edward, but Alice was about the same speed as him. He was sure this would be an interesting challenge, and Alice usually loved their little competitions. Jasper was usually more creative with them, but this one suited the moment for the time being. At the top of this tree was a beautiful view over looking the Pacific ocean for miles. This was the view he saw before Abagail showed up, this was what he had wanted to show her since he found this place.
He looked up at the tree, it was a very tall and very strong pine tree. Jasper had already marked his path during the race about to commence to scale the tree. Jasper walked over to Alice slowly. He smiled and cupped her beautiful face in his hands as he pulled her lips against his, kissing her passionately and with a sense of adoration of her. He loved her more then any one. Her lips were so supple and gorgeous, as the rest of her features were. He kissed her then released her after a long while. He stepped back smiling.
He took position at the other end of the tree and winked at her. He was ready to race his beloved. "After you ma'am." He said like a true gentleman would and waited for her to begin climbing the tree. He was sure he'd win, but he was debating whether he wanted to let her win or not.

She looked back at Jasper and saw him staring up too, at the tree, though with much more insight. He dropped his gaze and she looked into his golden eyes as he walked towards her to give her a kiss. She hadn’t told her yet how much she appreciated his attempt to surprise her. Not many people —or vampires— could do it but he never stopped trying, which she loved about him. She kissed him just as passionately as she wrapped her arms around him, pulling herself tightly against him before letting go.
She watched him step back to give her a head start. Alice wasn’t the best when it came to contests that require physical abilities, especially speed, since she had shorter extremities than the rest of her family but that didn’t mean she wasn’t good. She still had a good chance of winning even though her special ability cannot be of any help in the case. The only thing that it can be of advantage to her is to see who will win. She closed her eyes to get a better focus, not minding that Jasper will know what she was trying to do. She giggled as she saw herself reaching the top before Jasper but frowned when she saw that Jasper will be first. She realized that the outcome of the race only depended whether Jasper was going to let her win or not. “You are going to make me win or lose this fair and square right?” she teased.
In a swift motion, Alice jumped for the lowest branch and pulled herself up. She climbed the tree as fast as she can, reaching for the other branches for support and sometimes jumping from one branch to another to gain more speed. Being tiny enabled her to dodge the leaves and branches easily. She didn’t try to look into the future to see who would win anymore, but she was conscious of Jasper, who was also climbing the tree, and already about to pass her.
